Advocacy through videos
I have directed, recorded, and edited short and longer videos as a part of social activism campaigns.
While working at the NGO PUKAR, we collaborated with girls from Mumbai’s Mandala, Dharavi, and Kaula Bandar slums who wanted to prevent school dropouts and sexual harassment by boys.
Here are clips from the short film on their work and a short video urging parents and boys to dismantle patriarchal practices. Their work garnered over 80,000 views and press coverage in Midday.
I also created explainer videos for EPW's digital features. Back then, Instagram Reels had a 15-second limit.
My colleagues Vishnupriya and Sohnee contributed text input for the EPW explainer videos.
